is consisted with members in Fussa City (JCC #1019) and cities and towns around. It is an affiliated club of Japan Amateur Radio Club (JARL).
The nickname FARAD is an an abbreviation of Fussa Amateur Radio Club. The club radio station JH1YIE is active at the Culture Festival, amateur radio contests, field operation and so on. Victory in 6m AND DOWN CONTEST!!
According to JARL Web, JH1YIE/1 got the first place in the class of Phone Multi-operator All-band (PMA) in 41st 6m AND DOWN CONTEST whole Japan.

40th Anniversary Radio Station finished operation
In commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of Fussa City, JH1YIE was replaced with
8J1FUSSA for 5 months from June till the end of October this year.
It was the 40th anniversary for Fussa Amateur Radio Club itself as well. JH1YIE will be operated hereafter again. Further on 8J1FUSSA, refer to (Sorry only in Japanese)
