The 55th JLRS Party Contest





*Please note many rules changes.

1. ORGANIZER: Japan Ladies Radio Society (JLRS)
2. OBJECTIVE: For YL stations to promote active contacts and interaction with as many other stations as possible.
3. DATE: Starts at 03:00UTC on October 4, 2026
Ends at 12:00UTC on October 4, 2026

   *Only 9 hours in one day. No separate days for Phone and CW each.
4. ELIGIBILITY: All licensed male and female operators in the world
  (Club stations, special stations, and commemorative stations are eligible,
   but their logs will be categorized as checklog. Logging the QSOs with them
   is valid.)
5. FREQUENCIES: 1.9MHz – 1200MHz (Except WARC bands)
   Operations on 1.9MHz and up to 430MHz have to be on the contest frequency bands
   designated by JARL. →
6. MODE: Phone and CW
   *Contact with the same station on the same band is valid only once, even if the
    mode is different.
   *As long as the bands are different, the contact with the same station is valid.
7. CATEGORIES & CODES: OM Category  ( OM )
YL Category  ( YL )
8. REQUIREMENTS: 1) Operating location must not be changed.
2) Contacts with 1 or more YL stations must be included in the contest log.
    *Contacts with non-JLRS member stations are also valid, and the log without
     a JLRS member station is accepted.
    *OM to OM contacts are not valid.
9. CALL: For Phone, OM calls “CQ YL,” and YL calls “CQ contest.”
For CW, OM calls “CQ YLO TEST,” and YL calls “CQ YLY TEST.”
10. CONTEST EXCHANGE: JLRS member: RS(T) + M (e.g. 59M, or 599M)
YL: RS(T) + Y          (e.g. 59Y or 599Y)
OM: RS(T)              (e.g. 59 or 599)
11. PROHIBITIONS: Contacts on cross-mode, cross-band, via repeater, and operations by guest operators
12. POINTS: OM: Contact with a JLRS member station counts 5 points,
    and a non-JLRS member YL station counts 1 point.
YL: Contact with a YL station counts 5 points, and an OM station counts 1 point.
13. MULTIPLIER: No multipliers
14. TOTAL SCORE: The final score is the sum of the total QSO points on each band.
15. LOG INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Paper log:
   Use JARL format or Letter size summary sheet.
   Use a separate log sheet for each band.
   Electronic log:
   Use JARL SUMMARYSHEET VERSION=R1.0 for JA stations.
   Use Cabrillo format for DX stations.
2) If you would like to receive a participant sticker, write the request in the
   comment section of your summary sheet.
3) Write your e-mail address for inquiries.
16. LOG SUBMISSION: Send your contest log and summary sheet by postal mail to:

17. PRIZES: 1) Certificates and supplementary prizes are awarded to the 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-
   place winners in each category.
2) By random drawing among log senders, 10 winners in each category will receive
   small gifts.

20. RESULTS: Results will be announced on the JLRS website in December.
