Hina-Matsuri, or Doll Festival, is a famous traditional girls' festival on March 3 in Japan to celebrate the birth of a girl and to wish her future happiness. A set of dolls in ancient costumes is displayed in a girl's house. |

| 4. ELIGIBILITY: | All licensed male and female operators in the world Contacts with club stations and special stations are valid, but only individual stations are allowed to submit their logs. |
| 5. FREQUENCIES: |
1.9MHz – 1200MHz (Except WARC bands) Operations on 1.9MHz and up to 430MHz have to be within the contest frequency bands designated by JARL |
| 6. MODES: |
Phone and CW only However, only one contact with the same station is effective on each band. |

YL Category for YL Stations (Code: YL) OM Category for OM Stations (Code: OM) |
| 8. CALL: |
For Phone, call “CQ Hina Contest” For CW, call “CQ HINA TEST” for OM call “CQ HINAY TEST” for YL *Please note that YL stations do not have to add “/YL” at the end of their callsigns. |
| 9. CONTEST EXCHANGE: |
YL: RS(T) + YL (e.g. YL = 59YL or 599YL) OM: RS(T) (e.g. OM = 59 or 599) OM – OM contacts for this contest are also valid. |
| 10. PROHIBITIONS: | Contacts on cross-mode, cross-band, and via repeater Operation by guest operators |
| 11. POINTS: |
Contact with a YL station counts 10 points. Contact with an OM station counts 1 point. |
| 12. TOTAL SCORE: |
The final score is the result of the total QSO points on each band. *No multipliers |
| 13. LOG INSTRUCTIONS: |
1) Contacts with 1 or more YL stations must be included in the contest log for both the YL Category and OM Category. The log without it will be categorized as a checklog. 2) Write your e-mail address for inquiries. Paper log: Use JARL format or a letter-size summary sheet. Use a separate log sheet for each band. Electronic log: Use JARL SUMMARYSHEET VERSION=1.0 for JA stations. Use Cabrillo format for DX stations. |
| 14. PRIZES: |
Certificates and extra prizes are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category. ☆Special surprise winners will also be selected. |
| 15. LOG SUBMISSION: |
Send your contest log and summary sheet by postal mail to: Michiko Nishiyama, 2176 Ogawa, Maki-ku, Joetsu City, Niigata Pref., 943-0648, JAPAN. Submission by e-mail is also accepted.
